We Are Thankful!!
We are here in Lima for Thanksgiving with some of our mission family...the Hughes (university ministry), the Roberts (inner city), Allison Bender (REAPNorth), Steve Reams (REAPNorth), a friend, Zuni (soony) who was our neighbor when we lived in the big yellow house on Lord Cochrane...she is 95 and still crosses a very busy intersection to do her shopping!!
Last but not least are our friends, Javier and Patty Voysest, who were our neighbors when we lived in Arequipa and were members of the church we planted. I baptized her. They had been married just a couple of years then...now they have a six year old, a four year old and a two year old...and live across town in Lima.
There would have been more but several families drove to Arequipa to meet up with the Martinezes who serve in Puno.
We gathered to express our "thankfulness" to the Lord for His constant and on-going "faithfulness"...thank you Lord!...for friends...for family and for those who support all of us on the mission with prayer and through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and other ways.
