A Christmas to Remember...
Dear Friends, Family and Partners in the Harvest,
Our Christmas vacation stateside was a time of wonderful fellowship with friends and family but also a time of challenge.
As many of you know by now that our daughter-in-law, Vonda, passed away December 27th. She had entered the hospital three weeks prior for what was thought to be a stomach virus but she never improved. For the last 20 years she had suffered from Lupus.
Josh and Madison (5) are doing fine but in need of a lot of prayer and support as they begin a new life together. Kathy has stayed on a few weeks more to help.
Please pray for all of us. Here are a few items to remember:
...Madison as she grows and experiences the full impact of the loss of her mother.
...Josh as he assumes a double parental role and seeks to adjust his work schedule and life to meet Madison’s needs.
...Kathy as she seeks to support Josh in his new role without taking his place even though, for a mother and grand mother, would be very easy.
...Mike as passes the next three weeks working in Peru as well as a trip to Brazil (Jan. 24-28).
