Feliz Navidad y Blessed New Year

What a wonderful time of the year! Our family....team and real...is all around us! The picture to your right was taken by our son Joshua and our two pups (Maggie and Sassie) were fighting right in front of Sandi while Madison, our granddaughter, was directing the poses. It was the end to a great time of fun and fellowship as we shared a great "Momma Kathy" meal and gift-giving.

The Lord has given us the greatest gift of all with the sacrifice of His life for ours! Our team has given a great gift of sacrificing/being away from loved ones and friends for their first Christmas out of the U.S. and our family has sacrificed some Christmases with their loving support of our commitment to serving overseas. This particular year "family came to us" and that was a very very special gift indeed for this set of parents/grandparents.

As we enter 2008 in just a little over a week we want to thank you all "ahead of time" for your continuous and, at times, sacrificial gifts of service, prayer and giving. The Lottie Moon International Christmas Offering that we focus on at this time of the year is your way of keeping us here on the field. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and those of millions of indigenous peoples yet to hear of the "gift of Bethlehem" that brings life to all who will receive it.

2008 promises to be abundant in opportunity as well as fruit-bearing as many many more churches come on board with the REAPSouth church planting strategy to see reproducible indigenous churches planted throughout southern Peru, Bolivia, Chile (2009) and Argentina (2009) (and Paraguay in 2010).
